Kent Peterson, MD is President of the consulting firm Occupational Health Strategies and Director of Executive Wellness at the U.S. Federal Executive Institute. Former positions include IBM Corporate Manager of Preventive and Environmental Medicine worldwide, Corporate Medical Director of American Standard, and Executive Vice President of the American College of Preventive Medicine.
Kent has led many national organizations, including serving as president of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, founding Vice Chair of the Medical Review Officer Certification Council, and founding Senior Vice President of the Institute for Health and Productivity Management. As a scholar, he has been a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at George Washington University, a Clinical Associate Professor of Environmental Medicine at New York University and authored 12 books and more than 300 chapters, articles and scientific presentations.
Kent has directed ACOEM’s courses on drug and alcohol testing since 1990, training more than 16,000 physicians to serve as MROs.
